Appointment of Members to Citizen Advisory Task Force for Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Citizens Advisory Task Force (CATF) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program has three vacant positions due to the expired terms of members.
A news release was published accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Citizens Advisory Task Force (CATF) for the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
The purpose of the CATF is to provide input relative to all phases of the CDBG Program application and process. Hernando County participated in the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant and now is part of the Urban County Qualification for Community Development Block Grant Program. The County was awarded funding for its last Small Cities Community Development Block and now receives Urban County Qualification funding. The CATF meets to discuss community needs and make recommendations regarding the program and activities that should be considered when drafting the grant application.
The membership shall be appointed to serve at the will of Hernando County Board of County Commissioners. The term for the CATF will be effective from the date of the grant award until the closing of the grant. The CATF shall be comprised of five (5) residents of Hernando County and at least 51 percent of the members, three (3) must be from low and moderate-income households (households earning 80 percent or less of the area median annual income of $83,450 for a family of four).
