BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Lake Townsen Park boat ramp provides regional access to the Withlacoochee River and is the primary access to the river for boaters and fisherman that launch medium to large size shallow draft boats. Improvements are needed to Lake Townsen Park boat ramp to enable year-round use and to improve launch accessibility.
Amendment No. 4 was prepared by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) Commissioner for Grant Agreement No. 22021, and it awards federal funding ($381,035.00) from the Sports Fish Restoration program and will extend the completion date to June 30, 2027.
Amendment 4 to FWC Agreement No. 22021 was approved December 16, 2025 (agenda item no. 16705) and executed by FWC on December 23, 2025. Amendment No. 4 included the addition of federal grant funding from the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). As such, specific forms associated with this grant must be completed and signed by Hernando County and provided to FWC.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached forms (F, J, K) that were included with Amendment No. 4 to FWC Agreement No. 22021 that was approved on December 16, 2025.
