Interlocal Agreement With City of Brooksville for South Brooksville Community Redevelopment Area Master Plan

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On December 12, 2023, Hernando County BOCC adopted a resolution establishing a Finding of Necessity as set forth in Florida Statutes 163.355. The next step is the development of a master plan to be adopted by the governing municipalities - Hernando County and the City of Brooksville. The South Brooksville Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) Steering Committee is tasked with developing the scope of services for the required master plan, as well as providing guidance and assistance to the consultant developing the plan. The consulting fee is estimated to be One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000) split between both parties. Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000) was approved in the FY25 budget for the County share. Pursuant to the proposed Interlocal Agreement, the City of Brooksville will act as the lead agency for the project and has procured the services of Inspire Placemaking Collective

If approved by Hernando County BOCC, funds will be taken from:
Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 01051 - BOCC, Account: 5303401 - Contracted Services.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Interlocal Agreement with the City of Brooksville for the South Brooksville CRA Master Plan.
