BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Health (FDOH) provides an opportunity of funding for the improvement of prehospital emergency medical services. FDOH has awarded Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services $29,754.00 for the purchase of one stretcher and associated accessories. This grant requires matching funds of 25% which would calculate to $9,918.00. Those amounts combine to equal $39,672.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
A budget resolution is attached for approval. The required local match is $9,918.00.

The operating expenses for the grant, upon approval, would be:

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida Department of Health for improvement of prehospital emergency medical services.
It is further recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the associated budget resolution.
