Summary of Applicant’s Request:

The petitioners are requesting to rezone their parcels from R1-C (Residential) to AR (Agricultural/ Residential). The petitioners have indicated a desire to utilize their properties for livestock, crops and other agricultural benefits.

 

P&Z Action:

On November 10, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-0 to recommend the Board of County Commissioners adopt a resolution approving the petitioner’s request for a rezoning from R-1C (Residential) to AR (Agricultural/Residential).

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

A matter of policy.  There is no financial impact.

 

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to make the requested rezoning decision pursuant to Chapters 125 and 163 Florida Statutes.  The Applicable Criteria for a Zoning District Amendment are contained in Appendix A (Zoning Code), Article VI.  The Zoning District Amendment must be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan.

It is recommended that the Board adopt and approve the Chairman’s signature on the attached resolution approving the petitioner’s request for a rezoning from R-1C (Residential) to AR (Agricultural/Residential).
