BRIEF OVERVIEW

Attached for the Board’s consideration and approval is Hernando County’s Legislative Priorities for the 2024-25 State Legislative Agenda.  The proposed projects will be reviewed at the meeting.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no financial impact to the Board at this time; however, should the projects meet House and Senate approval, matching contributions of 10% - 20% funding by the County may be required, dependent on the project.

 

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Board review, provide comment, and approve the attached Hernando County Legislative Priorities and authorize staff to submit applications for State appropriation funding through the Florida House and Senate for the approved projects.
