BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County previously transferred property to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI Hernando, Inc., for the development of a community based mental health facility. NAMI Hernando, Inc., was unable to develop the site as planned, and at the County's request, the property was conveyed back to the County to be incorporated into the newly configured site for the Tax Collector's office.

In accordance with the existing agreement between Hernando County and NAMI Hernando, Inc., the County will return a portion of the reconfigured site on Forest Oaks Boulevard to NAMI Hernando, Inc. The deed will provide Hernando County with a first right of refusal concerning any sale or transfer of the Property, as well as any lease of the Property that involves the entirety of any buildings or improvements situated thereon. Leases that do not encompass the entire building are explicitly excluded and will not activate this first right of refusal.

Staff recommends the board approve the Statutory Deed from Hernando County to NAMI for their use.
