Tourist Development Council Special Events Marketing Grant Awards and Sponsorship Award to Promote Florida’s Adventure Coast Events in FY 2027

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Tourist Development Council has recommended approval of two Special Events Marketing Grants. The first is for the Historical Hernando Preservation Society’s Second Annual Haunted Hernando History Tour; the second is for Foggy Longbritches’ Annual Florida Winter Music Festival. Additionally, the TDC recommends approval of a Sports Event Sponsorship for Ledgestone Disc Golf and the fourth Annual Ledgestone Discraft Supreme Flight Open Disc Golf Tournament. Staff has secured a three-year commitment from Ledgestone and the PDGA to host the Discraft Supreme Flight Open Disc Golf Tournament here on Florida’s Adventure Coast.

The Tourism Department’s Strategic Plan calls for sponsoring and supporting special events to encourage visitation to the destination.

Funding in the amount of $32,000 is budgeted in the following account for FY 27:

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the Tourist Development Council's recommendations for two special events and one sports tournament for the total amount of $32,000.
