BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department is requesting an additional Purchasing Agent II position to sustain efficiencies of Hernando County’s growth demands. This department is requesting use of reserves to add one full-time position now for the remainder of the current fiscal year ahead of FY25. The position description and budget amendment are included with this request.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Upon approval of the Board, the cost for FY24 will be from Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 05981 - Contingencies Reserve, Account: 5909910 - Budget Reserves for Contingencies, in the amount of $44,970.00.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board authorize the hiring of a Purchasing Agent II position within the Procurement Department and approve the associated budget amendment.
