BRIEF OVERVIEW
The following appointments are required for the 2026 calendar year:
* MPO Board Officers:
o MPO Chair (Hernando County Member)
o MPO Vice Chair (Citrus County Member)
* MPO Board Representatives:
o Suncoast Transportation Planning Alliance (SCPTA)
* Representative (MPO Chair for 2026)
* 1st Alternate (Citrus County Member)
* 2nd Alternates (Per their governing bodies, ratification of the elected officials of the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners and the Brooksville City Council Members)
o Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council (MPOAC)
* Representative (Hernando County Member)
* 1st Alternate (Citrus County Member)
* 2nd Alternates (Per their governing body, ratification of the elected officials of the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners)
o Affirmation of Bob Esposito, MPO Executive Director on the Transportation Management Area (TMA) Leadership Group
o Ratification of Appointment of Commissioner John Allocco by the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners as Chair of the Hernando County Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board
o Ratification of Appointment of Commissioner Janet Barek by the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners as Chair of the Citrus County Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board

Pursuant to the MPO Board by-laws, the MPO Board's Chair and Vice Chair shall rotate annually between the member government entities of Hernando and Citrus Counties. Any regular voting member may be nominated for office. Any voting member may nominate an officer. All elections shall be by a majority vote of the voting members of the MPO.
