Summary of Applicant’s Request:
The petitioner is requesting approval of a modification and expansion to Special Exception Use Permit SE-22-02 to expand the existing off-road vehicle facility and include additional parcels.
The applicant proposes modifying the existing Special Exception Permit (“Current Permit”) by expanding the approved use to include two (2) additional parcels and revising the operational conditions of the off-road vehicle facility.
The Current Permit applies only to 16219 Citrus Way (Key No. 332214) and allows operation of an off-road vehicle track Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to dusk, Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to dusk for electric bikes only. This is located on the northern 20.0 acres.
The proposed modification would:
Add the southern 19.0 acres at 16063 Citrus Way (Key No. 332358) for parking, camping, and buffering.
Add the western 10.0 acres from 16398 Hodge Road (Key No. 1873128) for a second off-road track limited to electric vehicles (the western 10.0 acres would be used for an additional off-road vehicle track limited to electric motorcycles and ATV use. The applicant states that the existing trees would be retained to provide a buffer from adjacent properties).
