Tourist Development Council Special Events Marketing Grant Awards to Promote Florida’s Adventure Coast for FY 2025

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The TDC has received grant applications from two organizations for special events to promote visitation to Hernando County. The applications were reviewed and recommendations for funding made. A listing of each organization, event and recommended award is attached for review and approval.
• GFWC Historic Brooksville Women’s Club - Booksville Festival $2500
• Hernando Beach Marina - Hernando Beach Cardboard Boat Race $1500
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The recommended grant awards total $4,000 for FY 2025. The budget for grant funding is currently $50,000.00 and is available in the Special Promotions - Sponsorship Account No. Fund: 1261 - Tourist Development Tax, Department: 02811 - Tourist Development, Account: 5304804 - PROM ACT-Sponsorship.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the award of Tourist Development Council’s Special Event Grant funding for the events and in the amounts as indicated in the attached document, totaling $4,000.
