Memorandum of Agreement With State Division of Emergency Management Regarding State-Owned Equipment for Emergency Generator for Emergency Management

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) in preparation for hurricane season, purchased equipment to support and assist in response efforts during an emergency. To maximize equipment utilization, the State is collaborating with Florida counties and other municipalities to position and maintain these critical assets throughout the State. The State has provided Hernando County Emergency Management one generator to stage and utilize.
The purpose of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is to identify the terms and responsibilities of the State and the County.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
For maintenance and repairs of the generator, Emergency Management has a budget in line item 0011-02401-5304603, Repairs/Maint-Equipment.
LEGAL NOTE
The Board has authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Memorandum of Agreement.
