BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Development Services Division has seen a huge increase in development within Hernando County. Due to the evolving increase, there has been a large increase of permit intakes and issuance, inspections, private provider usage, contractors, and customers. The Building Division is requesting this additional position to be approved to help assist with daily operations, provide customer care to our contractors and citizens of Hernando County.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Pending the approval of the Board, the cost associated with the proposed position in FY24 is available in Enterprise Fund: 4611 - Hern Co Development Services, Department: 07811 - Building Division, Account: 510XXXX - personnel accounts, in the amount of $28,383.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board authorize the hiring of an Operations Support Specialist, within the Development Services Division, utilizing the existing available personnel budget.
