Request by Aquatic Services and Waterways to Video Record Waterways Advisory Committee Meetings

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Aquatic Services and Waterways Manager Carla Burrmann brings forth a request from the Waterways Advisory Committee to have their quarterly meetings video recorded. This will provide additional documentation of the meeting discussion items and the ability for the public to view meetings that they may not have been able to attend in person. Meeting minutes are currently prepared by staff then posted on the County website, and that practice will continue.
Listed below are the tentative meeting dates for 2024. Meetings will be scheduled to be held from 7:00 p.m., to 9:00 p.m.

• May 15, 2024
• August 21, 2024
• November 20, 2024
Note the Legistar system will not be utilized for these recordings, but arrangements have been made with the IT Department for recording/posting for the public.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost of video recording will be paid from the Aquatic Services and Waterways budget. It is estimated at $1,000 annually.

The Board is authorized to act upon this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the video recording of the Waterways Advisory Committee meetings.
