FY 2024 Project Grant Agreement With Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority for Local Government Water Supply and Conservation Funding Assistance Program

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On June 27, 2023, the Board approved Resolution Number 2023-129 supporting Hernando County Utilities Department’s (HCUD) application to the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority (WRWSA) Local Government Water Supply and Conservation Funding Assistance Program. WRWSA reviewed the application and approved the funding request on July 26, 2023. Therefore, attached for consideration is the grant agreement with WRWSA. This grant agreement will provide matching funds for the FY 2024 budget to continue the water resource protection and conservation program.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The agreement stipulates that the WRWSA will provide 50% of the project costs or $46,250 on a reimbursement basis into Operating Fund 4111-WRWSA Grant Dept. 33712-WRWSA Grant Revenue Account 3894712. This budget amount will require an expenditure of $92,500 from 4111-WRWSA Grant Dept. 33712 - various accounts.

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached FY 23-24 Project Grant Agreement for the WRWSA Local Government Water Supply and Conservation Funding Assistance Program.
