Reappointment of Member to the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC)

BRIEF OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is to assist the Hernando-Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization Board in a review and advisory capacity relating to transportation planning and programming for Citrus and Hernando counties.  The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) consists of nine (9) citizen positions appointed by the Hernando-Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization Board. Five (5) of the nine (9) positions are currently filled.  BPAC members serve a two-year term.

 

Current member, Jim McLean, serves on the BPAC and his term expired in December.  Mr. McLean has applied for reappointment to the BPAC representing Citrus County-Citizen-at-Large position.  The application is attached for review by the Board.  Mr. McLean has a very good attendance record at the BPAC meetings.

Pursuant to Chapter 339.175, Florida Statutes, the MPO Board has the authority to take the recommended action.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Hernando-Citrus MPO Board reappoint Jim McLean to serve on the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee in the Citrus County Citizen-at-Large position for a period of two (2) years (February 5, 2026, through February 4, 2028).
