BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Division of Emergency Management in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) made Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) funds available as a result of Presidential Disaster Declaration FEMA-4337-DR-FL. HMGP funds are authorized by Section 404 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief Act to assist communities in implementing mitigation measures intended to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property from natural hazards and their effects. Since starting the program there have been some changes in staffing and a new point of contact form is required.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached point of contact update form for the Gulfwind Drive Elevation and Wind Retrofit, Project No. 4337-148-R.
