BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 24-CG00873/JC on August 28, 2024, at the request of the Hernando County Department of Public Works to obtain bids for road paving services for the Hayman Road from Twister Lane to Deepwell Drive Safety Upgrades SCOP 449053-1-54-01 (Rebid) project. Original Invitation to Bid was released on May 15, 2024, and received one bid submission. After review by the Department of Public Works, the bid was deemed to not be in line with the engineer's estimate, and the project was readvertised.
The Procurement Department placed the legal advertisement in the Tampa Bay Times on September 1, 2024, and the OpenGov website on August 28, 2024. The bid was sent to three thousand three hundred forty-seven (3,347) matching vendors/contractors from the website. The bid document was downloaded by forty-four (44) vendor/contractors and three (3) bid submissions were received.
