BRIEF OVERVIEW
On December 16, 2025, the BOCC approved award of Contract No. 26-A0279 to Statewide Safety Services LLC for the US 19 (Commercial Way) and Glen Lakes Blvd. (aka Glen Lakes Commons) Signalizing Intersection Improvement Project for $1,423,380.83.
The purchase order was originally issued for $1,423,380.83. Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $22,011.75 would increase the Purchase Order to $1,495,276.82.
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $49,884.24 was CPO approved on August 8, 2026, for revisions made to plans for reinforcing the structure.
Hernando County Public Works Department has requested an increase for Purchase Order No. 26000494 for revisions made to plans to include survey/layout for the mast arms, lighting, pedestrian poles and traffic controller, removal of 13 palm trees, and drilled shaft concrete inspector not included in the original scope of work.

It is recommended the Board approve Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $22,011.75 to Statewide Safety Services LLC for Purchase Order No. 26000494, bringing the total Purchase Order amount to $1,495,276.82.
