Appointment of Members to Hernando County Delegation on Government Efficiency a/k/a DOGE
body
BRIEF OVERVIEW
On April 22, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners enacted Policy 45-01 creating the Hernando County Delegation on Government Efficiency (DOGE) to review the County’s use of tax dollars and recommend efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities to County operations. To ensure that no bias of any kind is involved, the policy requires that the nine members of this advisory body shall be selected by random lottery. The Board further decided that the lottery be conducted by the County Attorney’s Office on May 20, 2025, at noon.
Thirty applications were submitted. The lottery was conducted by pulling names written on slips of paper out of a rotating drum. The lottery took place as directed and the randomly selected names are hereby presented for appointment.
