BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County currently has no strategic plan. This agreement is for the development of a strategic plan and for one year of implementation services to be provided by the University of South Florida’s Florida Institute for Government in partnership with Collaborative Labs at St. Petersburg College.
The term of the agreement is from October 1, 2024, to November 30, 2026. The strategic planning process would consist of three (3) phases. Phase 1 includes information gathering and stakeholder engagement using virtual and face-to-face forums, interviews, and surveys. Phase 2 engages leadership in plan development and Phase 3 is plan implementation and refinement for the first year of the plan.

Funding is available in Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 01051 - BOCC, Account: 5303401 - Contracted Services

It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached agreement with The University of South Florida for Strategic Planning at a cost of $234,385.45.
