BRIEF OVERVIEW
On September 13, 2023, Hernando County Fire Department requested piggyback of the Lee County Contract No. RFP200361 for Miscellaneous Planning Services, with a contract expiration of April 19, 2024, the Contract provides for three (3) additional one (1) year renewal periods.
Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services currently has need for Miscellaneous Planning Services and requests piggyback approval with Alfred Benesch and Company to provide contract services in the estimated spend amount of $65,000.00.
The Procurement Department has assigned Hernando County File No. 23-P00118 to this Contract for tracking purposes.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding is available in the amount of $65,000.00 in Hernando County Fire Department in Account No. 1661-02261-5303101 Professional Services in the amount of $32,500.00 and Account No. 1691-02491-5303101 Professional Services in the amount of $32,500.00. Purchases will be made in the department’s FY24 budget.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Lee County Contract No. RFP200361 (Hernando County File No. 23-P0118) with Alfred Benesch and Company in the estimated spend amount of $65,000.00.
It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
