Award of Term Sole Source Contract With Nextran Truck Centers for as Needed Service of Mack Truck Equipment for Fleet Department (Contract No. 23-TSS00391/FH; Amount: $100,000.00)

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On July 5, 2023, the Fleet Department requested the Term Sole Source for Outside repairs with Nextran Truck Centers. A sole source request for Outside Repairs is being requested to process repairs on an as-needed basis for services of Mack Trucks equipment.
On November 29, 2023, a Sole/Single Source Notice of Intent to award for Term Sole Source Contract No. 23-TSS00391 to Nextran Truck Centers was posted per Procurement Policies and Procedures. The Procurement Department has received no communications regarding the Notice of Intent to Sole Source. The last day for receipt of information was December 20, 2023.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $100,000.00 is available in Fleet Vehicle Maintenance 4121, Account No. 5071-08021-5303476 Contr SRV-O/S PRP-Fleet.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on attached Term Sole Source Contract No. 23-TSS00391 to Nextran Truck Centers for outside repairs, in the annual estimated spend of $100,000.00, for an initial three-year (36) month term contract with two (2) twelve (12) month unilateral renewal options available at the discretion of the County.
It is further recommended that the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders for 23-TSS00391 as they become necessary and allowable up to approved budgeted amounts and to approve renewal of the contract when there is no change to terms, conditions and/or pricing.
