Acceptance of State Department of Environmental Protection Grant Agreement for Vulnerability Assessment Including City of Brooksville and Associated Budget Resolution

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has awarded Hernando County $284,400.00 to conduct a vulnerability assessment of Hernando County, including the City of Brooksville. The study will evaluate the infrastructure in hazard prone areas and will develop a Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) for consideration.
This grant is reimbursable at 100% of costs.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no local financial impact as the grant is 100% reimbursable.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Grant Agreement No. 23PLN49 for the Hernando County vulnerability assessment. It is further recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached associated budget resolution.
