BRIEF OVERVIEW
Resolution No. 2026-057, adopted on March 24, 2026, authorizes the Board to approve a financial incentive for property owners to bring properties with outstanding code enforcement liens into compliance. Any individual who owns property that has a lien by the county for a code enforcement violation may make application for a reduction and forgiveness of fifty percent (50%) of each qualifying lien.
Pursuant of the review criteria of Resolution 2026-057 and the Code of Ordinances, Staff has reviewed the attached application from Michelet Innocent and recommends approval of the reduction of lien per the ordinance. The applicant has met all of the following criteria to reduce the lien on his property:
? He owns property at 7136 Cedar Lane (Key No. 369247), and it is in compliance.
? He has no other properties with active code violations.
? He has not received a previous lien reduction.
? The amount of money previously spent by the County to enforce the code violation does not exceed the amount of the lien.
In the event the applicant does not pay the reduced amount owed within 10 days of Board approval, the Satisfaction of Lien attached hereto will become null and void without further Board action.
