Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board Planning Budget for FY 2023-24

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board (PHWB) is required to submit an annual budget to its local Board and chief elected officials of its Local Workforce Development Area, and upon approval, submit the budget to CareerSource Florida and the Department of Economic Opportunity, as required by Federal law.
The Pasco and Hernando Boards of County Commissioners are the “Chief Elected Officials” for Local Workforce Development Area 16 and are responsible for budget approval, along with the Workforce Board. The attached planning budget will be effective beginning July 1, 2023, and details the amounts of revenue and planned expenditures from each funding source.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to the Board.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board Planning Budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 and authorize the Chairman's signature on the related letter(s) certifying budget approval.
