body
BRIEF OVERVIEW
On February 25, 2020, the Board approved award of Contract No. 20-T00034/CH to Integrated Environmental Technology, LLC for the Leachate and Gas Collection System Maintenance Services and a total contract amount of $433,750.00. On February 14, 2023, the Board approved Amendment No. 1 to the Contract for Wellfield Improvement Plan to address fugitive surface emissions, off site gas migration, and a landfill gas remediation plan, in the amount of $520,200.00.

To provide for the monthly maintenance and monitoring of a secondary flare, 3,000 SCFM Candlestick Flare - Cells 1 and 2, and repairs to Cells 1 and 2 due to a Geosynetic ground settlement, the Utilities Department is asking to include additional services through August 24, 2025, the Contract end date, while the Procurement Department prepares a new solicitation for these and all other services related to this Contract. These additional services are necessary to: (1) continue operating the flare once the current vendor's contract is terminated in order for the Landfill to remain in compliance with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Class 1 (solid waste permit) and Title 5 (greenhouse gas and clean air) permits; and, (2) to investigate the reason for the ground settlement, remediate the issue, and perform repairs to maintain the integrity of the liner. Amendment No. 2 will add $121,320.00 and increase the total contract amount from $953,950.00 (annual estimate) to $1,075,270.00.

Except for items noted in the requested Amendment, all other terms and conditions shall remain the same.

The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
