Request:
Comprehensive Plan Text Amendment Adopting the Septic Tank Remediation Plan and Revising Chapter 6 Utilities Element of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
P&Z Action:
On April 8, 2024, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4-0 to recommend the Board of County Commissioners adopt a resolution approving the petitioner’s request for a Comprehensive Plan Text Amendment Adopting the Septic Tank Remediation Plan and Revising Chapter 6 Utilities Element of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.

The Planning and Zoning has the ability to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Appendix A, Article V, Section 5 of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances. Comprehensive Plan Amendments must be internally consistent with the
Comprehensive Plan and comply with applicable Florida Statutes and Rules.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Local Planning Agency (LPA) / Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) review the proposed revisions to the Utilities Element of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan and approve and authorize staff to transmit CPAM2303 to the designated State and local agencies for review and comment.
