BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged (CTD) provides annual planning grants to local agencies in support of statutorily mandated administrative and planning activities related to the Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Program. The MPO Board is the Designated Official Planning Agency for both Hernando and Citrus counties.
The activities supported by the grants are consistent with the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) FY 2023 - FY 2024. The CTD has allocated for FY 2024 for Citrus County the amount of $24,398 in the attached Grant Agreement #G2I76, and $25,285 for Hernando County in the attached Grant Agreement #G2I90 for the State’s Fiscal Year 2024. There is no local match required. Funds are reimbursed upon furnishing invoices consistent with the agreements for the completion of prescribed activities and documents to the State.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds recognizing the State grant awards are programmed into Hernando County’s budgets for FY 2023 and for FY 2024. GMS 506 (Citrus #G2I76) and GMS 505 (Hernando G2I90).
LEGAL NOTE
Pursuant to Chapter 339.175, and Chapter 427.18(22) FS, the MPO Board has the authority to take the recommended action.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the MPO Board approve the Transportation Disadvantaged Planning Grant applications, resolutions, and agreements by authorizing the Chair’s signature upon the resolutions and grant agreements and the MPO Executive Director to administer the following agreements:
A) Resolution 2023-05 for Hernando County Transportation Disadvantaged Planning Grant Agreement #G2I90 in the amount of $25,285, and
B) Resolution 2023-06 for Citrus County Transportation Disadvantaged Planning Grant Agreement #G2I76 in the amount of $24,398.
