Amendment for Extension of Public Transportation Grant Agreement With State Department of Transportation for Design and Construction of Runway 9-27 Extension Project at Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) grant for the Design and Extension of 999 feet of Runway 9-27 was to expire on June 30, 2023, and later extended to June 30, 2024. The Airport is requesting an additional grant extension to June 30, 2025.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is requiring an AGIS survey be performed for Safety Critical data collection and Obstruction analysis. The survey was performed but rejected by the FAA due to faulty camera imaging. The survey has been rescheduled for the end of March and we are anticipating the entire process to be completed by October.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to the Airport.

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the FDOT Amendment for Extension of Grant Agreement No. G1G22 for the design and construction of 999’ Extension of Runway 9-27 and approve and authorize the chairperson’s signature on all related documents.
