BRIEF OVERVIEW
The State Funded Grant Agreement No. G2L63 between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Hernando County (Agency) was received and approved by the Board March 14, 2023, funding the construction activities associated with the Faculty/Kedrone/Tombstone/Umbrella Rock from Shasta Street to Wickshire Street (Ridge Manor Road) resurfacing project and executed by the FDOT June 14, 2023.

The solicitation was advertised, and bids were received with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder coming in above the estimated and award amount. Additional funding was requested from FDOT and approved pending the approval of a State Funded Grant Supplemental Agreement.

The Supplemental Agreement provides an additional $196,191.00 in state funding with $65,396.00 required from the County as a program match. This brings the State Funded amount to $727,759.00 and the required local match amount to $242,586.00 for a total amount of $970,345.00.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The Supplemental Grant Agreement will provide the County additional reimbursement in the amount of $196,191.00 to bring the reimbursement amount by FDOT up to $727,759.00 for construction activities. The Supplemental Grant Agreement has a required local participation amount of $65,396.00 bringing the required local participation match up to $242,586.00 and any expenses incurred over the $970,345.00. The increased local participation amount is available in the following accounts if the supplemental agreement and budget resolution are approved.
