BRIEF OVERVIEW
On March 8, 2024, the Florida Department of Emergency Management notified Hernando County of its award through the Hurricane Idalia Legislative Appropriation Program (LAP). The $350,000.00 award was provided to assist in the completion of Pine Island Beach Improvements and reimburse the County for debris monitoring expenditures incurred from Hurricane Idalia.
The final grant agreement is attached for the Board’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on attached Grant Agreement No. D1545 with the Florida Department of Emergency Management. It is further recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached associated budget resolution.
