BRIEF OVERVIEW
Section 28-238 of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances is being amended to clarify mandatory requirements for connection of lots and parcels of land to central water and sewer systems when available. This amendment ensures that Hernando County’s sewer connection requirements comply with Section 381.00655(1)(a), Florida Statutes. This update is needed to obtain State Grant Funds for projects converting existing on-site septic systems to centralized sewer.
