BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 24-TFG00687/FH on February 14, 2024, at the request of the Hernando County Fleet Department, to obtain bids for the purchase of Tire Repair & Replacement Services for use by the Fleet Department. The department had initially requested a solicitation that went out for bid September 13, 2023. The solicitation was to be awarded to one bidder. The bids received for that solicitation did not provide all the services listed in the solicitation. The Fleet Department requested to re-bid the solicitation on December 18, 2023, with a new scope to allow for multiple vendors to be awarded and to revise the services required allowing for optional services as well.

The Procurement Department staff placed the legal advertisement in the Hernando Sun on February 16, 2024, and the OpenGov website on February 14, 2024. Bid notifications were sent to two-thousand nine-hundred eighty-six (2,986) vendor/contractors from the website. Of the 2,986 vendor/contractors', notifications were sent to 282-DBE's, 342-MBE's, and 251-WBE's. The bid document was downloaded by sixteen (16) vendor/contractors with three (3) bid submissions received.
