BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 23-T00478/JG on November 1, 2023, at the request of the Hernando County Department of Public Works, to obtain bids for mowing services in Ridge Manor.
The Procurement Department staff placed the legal advertisement in the Hernando Sun on November 3, 2023. The ITB was sent to Four hundred four (404) matching vendor/contractors from the OpenGov website. The bid document was downloaded by Twenty-five (25) vendor/contractors and Two (2) bid submissions were received.
BIDs RECEIVED:
AB5 Enterprises - $64,000.00 - Bid withdrawn by vendor.
Amazing National Services Group, LLC - $120,000.00
Bids were reviewed and evaluated by the Procurement Department to determine if they were responsive and responsible. The bids were then reviewed and evaluated by the Hernando County Department of Public works staff for award recommendation based on price, conformance with specifications and the Bidder's ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required.
Due to the disparity of the bids received, the Procurement Department met with the department and the lowest bidder, AB5 Enterprises, on February 23, 2024, to provide an opportunity for clarifications. AB5 Enterprises submitted a request to the Procurement Department to withdraw the bid and the decision was supported by the department by providing a letter of recommendation to the next bidder, Amazing National Services Group, LLC.
