Reappointment of Members and Appointment of Members to Economic Development and Airport Technical Advisory Committee

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On January 14, 2020, the Board adopted Policy No. 42-01 creating the Economic Development Technical Advisory Committee (EDTAC).
On July 13, 2021, the Board amended and adopted Policy No. 42.01. The Economic Development & Airport Technical Advisory Committee (EDA-TAC) shall act in an advisory capacity to the County's economic development and airport staff regarding the economic development program for Hernando County. The committee shall provide input, feedback and assistance on economic development and airport issues such as strategic planning, goal setting, prioritization, policies, programming, investments, and incentives.
The EDA-TAC will consist of nine (9) to eleven (11) members with specific areas of related professional or technical expertise and shall be appointed by the Board. Areas of expertise may be comprised of but not limited to the following sectors: aviation, manufacturing/logistics, workforce, entrepreneur, education, healthcare, real estate, financial services, construction/development, community-based organization or association. Members shall serve staggered terms and the term of office shall be four (4) years. The EDA-TAC shall meet a minimum of four (4) times per year at location to be approved by the EDA-TAC.
The following three (3) members have resigned from the EDA-TAC; we recognize and appreciate their years of service to the community.

The following six (6) applicants have requested reappointment for a second term on the EDA-TAC.

3. Tyler Stapleton
4. Walter Selph
5. Wayne Johnson
6. Frank Morsani
Colonel Kenneth Hayden will remain on the EDA-TAC with a term expiring July 2025.
