body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

On January 23, 2024, the Hernando County School Board (the “School Board”) adopted Resolution No. R24-006, which amends the sales surtax renewal ballot question that the School Board wants the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (the “BOCC”) to place on the 2024 General Election ballot for consideration by the voters of Hernando County.  For this reason, the BOCC adopted Resolution No. 2024-54, on February 27, 2024, which included a copy of the School Board’s Resolution No. R24-006.

At its meeting of April 9, 2024, the School Board amended Resolution No. R24-006 to make changes to the exhibit entitled, “Plans for Use of Surtax Revenues.”  For that reason, it is necessary for the BOCC to amend Resolution No. 2024-54 to include these changes as detailed in the School Board’s amended and restated Resolution No. R24-006.
